Andrew Simone, CEO
Andrew Simone began his career in finance in Silicon Valley after graduating from Santa Clara University. He moved to Orange County in 2000 where he obtained his master's degree in management from Cal State Fullerton. Andrew has held Chief Financial Officer roles in healthcare companies specializing in sleep medicine and medical billing and has worked in finance for skilled nursing, assisted living and veterinary medicine businesses. Andrew has experience working in family-owned, publicly-traded and private equity owned companies as well as serving on a non-profit board prior to joining Providence.
Donna Gelnett, Director of Audiology Operations
Donna Gelnett began her career as a research audiologist at the House Ear Institute working to develop digital hearing aids. She later moved to the Long Beach VA as a staff audiologist overseeing its hearing aid program. For the next fifteen years, she was the Regional Manager and Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations at HearUSA. There she obtained extensive experience in personnel development, clinic growth, and mergers and acquisitions.
Kashif Khan, Director of Finance & Administration
Kashif Khan possesses a diversified corporate background with Senior Executive Leadership experience in strategy and development, and handling aggressive corporate and client leadership roles. Kashif was the founder of an IT Professional Services company, which he started when he was 19 years old and an undergraduate student at Rutgers University. He turned it into an international company valued at $125M with over 300 employees and offices in India, Singapore, UK and various metropolitan cities in the US. After that great experience, Kashif devoted himself to the non-profit world. Prior to joining Providence, he held key finance leadership positions at The Y, Covenant House of New Jersey and United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County. Kashif earned his B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University.
Flor Real, Director of Human Resources
Flor Real’s passion and career in human resources began while working as a student employee for one of the main Human Resources and Payroll departments at the University of California at Los Angeles (U.C.L.A) while working on her undergraduate studies. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science with a specialization in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from UCLA. After graduation, she has held many HR Management positions in various industries such as Food and Product manufacturing and in Health and Human Services. She has over 20 years of H.R. and Payroll Management experience. Most dear to her heart is her 12-year tenure as the H.R. Director for a Private Non-Profit Head Start Agency located in Los Angeles County. This Head Start agency served at risk low-income children ages 0-5 years old and their families providing early childhood education, parent education, and early intervention services; which included speech and occupational therapy. Her passion is employee relations and engagement by having and promoting a servant attitude along with open and positive communication throughout the organization.
On a personal note, Flor resides in LA County with her husband, two children, and the family dog “Albie.”
Linda Smith, CEO Emeritus
Linda Smith began her career as a registered nurse with a public health nursing credential from Mount St. Mary College. Since then, she has continued to work in healthcare, including holding various senior level positions with TrinityCare LLC and Little Company of Mary Health Services. Linda was also a founder of LifeCare Solutions/Nations Healthcare and ran her own healthcare consulting firm for 5 years before moving to Providence.
All of our audiologists have earned an advanced degree in audiology with specialties in both pediatric and adult care.
Speech Language Pathologists
All of our experienced speech language pathologists are state and nationally certified. We work with infants, young children, and adults in both individual and group therapy sessions to develop early cognitive skills, language development, and sound production as well as receptive and expressive language.
Occupational Therapy Team
Our occupational therapists help children ages 2 to 5 learn to explore and interact with their environment using sensory integration and other therapy techniques. Our staff will also work with parents of children younger than one year of age to provide loving care for their infant.

At Providence Therapeutic Preschool, voted the No. 1 preschool in Orange by The Orange County Register, our dedicated teachers offer an innovative curriculum based on speech and language to prepare each child for a typical learning environment and a successful, rewarding school experience.
Our administrative team provides one-stop service for all your scheduling, billing, and insurance verification needs.
Our development team produces 2 major fundraisers and donor events annually. We steward donors, build relationships and support the Tree of Life Legacy Society.
Marketing and IT Team
Our marketing and communications team develops internal and external outreach to physicians, community groups, donors and supporters, and patients.
