Organizations that collaborate in a professional capacity with PSHC in order to serve the residents of Orange County.

The organizations listed below collaborate closely with Providence Speech and Hearing Center. Over the years, the relationships have grown and we’re grateful to work professionally with such impactful community partners– so that together, we can help more and more patients throughout Orange County as well as parts of Los Angeles County.

 
 

Hoag

For 65 years, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian has stood on the bluffs in Newport Beach as a beacon of exceptional healthcare. A place where the best and brightest physicians care for their patients with the support of highly skilled nurses and a wide range of dedicated staff. Hoag is a nonprofit regional health care delivery network in Orange County, Calif. consisting of two acute-care hospitals, ten urgent care centers, seven health centers, and a network for more than 1,500 physicians, 5,000 employees and 2,000 volunteers. More than 29,000 inpatients and 305,000 outpatients choose Hoag each year. Hoag offers a comprehensive blend of health care services that include five institutes providing specialized services in the following areas: cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences, women’s health and orthopedics through Hoag’s affiliate Hoag Orthopedic Institute, which consists of an orthopedic hospital and two ambulatory surgical centers. Hoag is also fiercely committed to exploring and perfecting innovative treatment options, often being the first hospital in Orange County to offer new health advancements.

 

St. Joseph Hospital / St. Joseph Health System

In 2011, PSHC's Audiology Department, in partnership with St. Joseph Hospital, formed the OC Fall Prevention and Balance Center. The center serves the needs of patients with balance issues through accurate diagnosis and appropriate therapy.

 

Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)

PSHC collaborates with several divisions within CHOC. Twice-weekly infant-sedated ABR clinics are held in the short-stay units at CHOC; both PSHC Audiology and Speech Therapy staff work with the CHOC Craniofacial Clinic staff to provide comprehensive services to children with multiple issues; CHOC is a surgical partner for PSHC's Orange County Cochlear Implant Institute™; and PSHC works with CHOC's Oncology division to support children with cancer on a consulting basis.

 

University of California, Irvine (UCI)

PSHC collaborates with UCI in several areas related to hearing care and research. In addition, UCI is a surgical partner for PSHC's Orange County Cochlear Implant Institute™.

 

Orange County United Way

PSHC is a funded parter agency of Orange County United Way. Through our partnership, the Orange County United Way has been supporting and positively impacting the local speech and hearing impaired community for several years. As a result of their funding, we are able to ensure more people in Orange County have access to our services, providing Audiology and Hearing Care as well as Speech-Language Pathology to those who need it most. We are truly grateful for their continued support. PSHC's United Way Gift Designation Code is 4074.

 

American Cochlear Implant Alliance

The American Cochlear Implant (ACI) Alliance is a not-for-profit membership organization created with the purpose of eliminating barriers to cochlear implantation. The ACI Alliance membership spans clinicians and scientists from across the cochlear implant continuum of care. Parents of children with cochlear implants, adult recipients, and other advocates for access to care are also active members. Our activities include research, advocacy and awareness initiatives designed to improve access to CI care.

 

Sertoma

PSHC supports Sertoma-organized local health fairs at the Brea Community Center to serve and educate residents on hearing loss issues. Sertoma supports PSHC through grant funds that support our participation in local health fairs.

 

Help Me Grow

PSHC has a reciprocal referral relationship with Help Me Grow to identify and maximize resources for families.
