All of our experienced speech pathologists are state and nationally certified. We work with infants and young children in both individual and group therapy sessions to develop early cognitive skills, language development, sound production as well as receptive and expressive language.
Our occupational therapists help children age two to five learn to explore and interact with their environment using sensory integration and other therapy techniques. Our staff will also work with parents of children under one year of age to provide loving care for their infant.

Linda Smith began her career as a registered nurse with a public health nursing credential from Mount. St. Mary’s College. Since then, she has continued to work in healthcare, including holding various senior level positions with TrinityCare LLC and Little Company of Mary Health Services. Linda was also a founder of LifeCare Solutions/Nations Heatlhcare and ran her own healthcare consulting firm for five years before moving to Providence.
Raul Lopez earned an MBA from Whittier College before accumulating over 25 years of professional financial experience for some of the largest healthcare organizations in Southern California including California Hospital Medical Center, Los Angeles Community Hospital and Planned Parenthood. Raul’s experience includes healthcare financial operations, acquisitions, revenue cycle management, divestitures, and cost improvements for both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Taiwo Jekayinfa graduated with top honors from Fullerton College where she studied early childhood development, fine arts and general education. Jekayinfa has been teaching children, including those with special needs, for over ten years and considers it not just a job, but a passion.
Bobbi Dickinson graduated from the A N C College with a 4.0 in Early Childhood Education, special needs, and administration. She was awarded the presidential award for perfect attendance and GPA. She also attended Chaffey College in Alta Loma, CA. She has been teaching for the past 10 years and works as a counselor for at risk teens on the weekends. Her teaching experience includes infants and children ages two years to 15! She has extensive training in Early Childhood Education that includes special needs. To Bobbi, early intervention and open communication with parents is the most important aspect in a young child's life; ensuring a successful educational career.
Katy Sullivan, Au.D., has served the needs of our community for over 10 years with Providence Speech and Hearing Center. She graduated in 1993 with her Master’s Degree in Audiology from San Francisco State University and with her Doctorate of Audiology in 2008 from Central Michigan University. Dr. Sullivan is fluent in Spanish and American Sign Language. She specializes in the special needs of hearing impaired children and adults and speaks regularly to community groups, pediatricians, Neonatal ICU nurses, and Ear Nose and Throat doctors to alert them to new procedures and new possibilities.
ChelseaLee Johansen earned her B.A. in Psychology from CSU Fullerton and a certificate of Human Resources Management from Chapman University. Over her five years with Providence she has worked in various administrative positions advancing to Human Resources Manager. She is currently pursuing her MBA.
Maria Carrillo has over 11 years experience working in non-profit organizations and has taken different roles including fundraising, public relations, community outreach, special events, volunteer management and therapy services. She earned her MBA degree in 2008 from The Paul Merage School of Business at UCI and MSW degree in 2003 from California State University Long Beach.
Christine Steele has 25 years experience in nonprofit management in Santa Barbara and Orange County. She was Director of the Orange County Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs, and has worked a number of years on behalf of children with special needs. Christine earned her Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law, BA in Communication Studies from University California, Santa Barbara, and certificate in Financial Planning and Management of Nonprofit Organizations from Cal State, Fullerton.
Alaine Ocampo is excited to have joined the Providence team in 2009. Alaine's professional experience includes both school-based and hospital/rehabilitation settings working with both pediatric and adult populations. She earned her Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders from CSU Long Beach, holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and is currently pursuing a Ph. D. in Disability Studies from Chapman University.
