May is Better Hearing and Speech Month

The month of May is Better Speech and Hearing Month. An estimated 28 million Americans have hearing loss. If you think you or a loved one is among them, there is help. We encourage everyone to get their hearing tested. People with speech and communication disorders can also enjoy better communication.

At Providence Speech and Hearing Center, we are celebrating our 45th Anniversary and Better Hearing and Speech Month by highlighting the services that make a difference for people with communication difficulties.

Invite you friends, colleagues, and loved ones to attend one or ALL of these events. And help others by spreading the word.

Free Hearing Screening and Listening Demonstration

May 11th through 13th.

• Even a mild hearing problem can cause you to retreat from an active life, feeling closed off from the world.
• You need something that puts you back in touch with life as it is happening.
• We will explain the benefits of hearing better and demonstrate how you can hear better with the newest technology in hearing aids.

Free Hearing Screenings and Voice Screenings Offered to the Community

Wednesday, May 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

• Audiologists and Speech clinicians will provide free hearing screenings and voice screenings, respectively, to any interested adult.
• Tour the Word and Brown Hearing center during your visit.
• Call to schedule your free hearing screening or voice screening at 714-639-4990

Providence Therapeutic Pre-school OPEN HOUSE

Thursday, May 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• Private tour of the pre-school for parents and their children as well as interested community members
• Snacks, crafts and activities for children will be provided
